Ricky Foster, subject of documentary, arrested for rape in Livingston Parish

LIVINGSTON — A Livingston Parish man who was the subject of a documentary called "The Devil Wears Dunks" has been arrested for rape.

Last week, the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office received allegations of sexual abuse involving Ricky Foster. The documentary, which has garnered millions of views online, brought new details to light that led to Foster’s arrest.

The documentary crew told WBRZ their work started in late 2025, when Foster reached out to Samples, a specialty shoe store in California, claiming to be a shoe expert.

The store's owner, Jeremy Greene, is also the CEO of Lunchbox Media, which includes an app called ECCO, a record label and a marketing agency.

"One day, Ricky said, 'You know what? I want to invest $15 million into your tech company, ECCO,’” said Shawn Boone Jr., the documentary’s head of production.

Boone said while vetting Foster, those with the company discovered he had been untruthful.

"He was telling us he had a $20 million mansion. And then a couple days later, it popped up on VRBO,”  Creative Director Colby Jackson said. “After that, it was like every lie started to just unfold.”

Boone and Jackson said people started coming to Greene, sharing stories of alleged deception and fraud involving Foster.

"It's mom-and-pop shops. It's people who have a hope and a dream and are fighting for every last dollar they have," Jackson said.

These stories prompted the YouTube documentary series, which Sheriff Jason Ard said helped launch an LPSO investigation into the allegations, which were more than fraud.

Sheriff Ard said deputies spoke with a woman who was dating Foster in 2023. She said on numerous occasions over the nine-month relationship, she was forced to have sex with him. The victim also said Foster racked up more than $70,000 in credit card debt in her name without her knowledge. The victim said she was told that if she did not submit to various sexual acts, Foster would not repay the money.

"He had her in a state of mind that she was trapped, that there was nowhere she could go," Ard said.

Foster, 46, is accused of 10 counts of third-degree rape, 10 counts of extortion and four counts of sexual battery.

Ard added that deputies believe there are more victims in the parish and ask them to come forward.

Foster was also involved in an organization called the Dads of Denham, a community organization that held events and fundraisers. Ard told WBRZ that investigators are compiling evidence to see what other charges can be leveled.

"If he is collecting money for somebody and he's supposed to be giving the money to somebody else, that's a crime in itself if he's not doing that, so we want to look at all that as well," Ard said.

Greene said he’s proud of what his team has accomplished.

“Today, we got justice for the victims, for the girls who have been sexually assaulted, for the fraud this guy has been doing for years,” Greene said. “I’m really proud of my team. Justin, Colby and Orlando. These guys staked it out, worked hand-in-hand with the police force. To be honest with you, I was going to do a one-and-done video about this guy being an idiot. But once I realized the victims, I knew we had to take it all the way and hold this guy accountable.”
